@fribbledom when Apple and Google, who are both super-creepy, start to distance themselves from some of Facebook's activities, you can pretty much guess what level of creepy it has moved down to... 😳

@ChrisWere do you mean OsmAnd+ ? I tried using it for navigation while driving on vacation last year. The synthesized voice was almost impossible to understand and it kept announcing nonexistent crosswalks which it pronounced as "crass-wahl-kis". After a couple of miles, I switched it off. But put yourself in the shoes of a beleaguered journalist or activist in an unfriendly country and maybe it is better than nothing?

@Tutanota an alternative move would be to campaign to leave the EU. That which is happening regarding encryption and privacy is one good reason to be jealous of the folks in the UK that had the temerity to vote to leave the EU. The EU has followed a sinister path over the decades, EEC -> EC -> EU, with no or little opportunity for those living under its growing thrall to object or free themselves. Yes, fight for encryption, but more importantly fight for the destruction of the EU

The new GB News channel in the UK is already being starved of cash by a concentrated, organized cancel culture attack. The organization behind the attack don't realize that they are behaving in a way that emulates fascism, because regardless of the views being expressed by the news channel, it is entitled to freedom of speech and opinion.
