I can't stand the misogyny in the Chinese gay community anymore. They refer to women as "Zhaodi" (a name that originates from many backward rural areas where, in order to finally have a son, parents name their daughters "Zhaodi"—literally meaning "attract a younger brother"—hoping the mother will quickly give birth to a boy, because they believe only sons can carry on the family line. People would keep trying no matter what, and some even had eight daughters just gambling that the next one would be a son). They have become outright male chauvinists.

@coolbean In China, dextromethorphan (DXM) used to be available over the counter without any prescription, and it was extremely cheap—one box cost just 8 RMB (about 1 USD), or even only 6 RMB when bought on online shopping platforms. Back then, all you needed was 8 yuan to go to a pharmacy, buy a box of DXM, and you could experience effects similar to ketamine. Taking two boxes would produce a feeling like methamphetamine. During that period, a huge number of kids aged 13 to 20 were using it. I was 15 at the time and would take almost two boxes nearly every day.

Whenever pro-American people in China talk about the right to bear arms, they say that Americans own guns to supervise and resist the U.S. government. I really despise how Western liberals mindlessly praise China. They boast that most people in China own their own homes, but they fail to see how much Chinese people have to sacrifice to pay off their mortgages. In China, buying a house only requires a small down payment, and then your entire life gets dragged down by the mortgage. Capitalists exploit the proletariat's fear of defaulting on their loans and losing their jobs, forcing workers to submit to the "996" work system. Not to mention the constant risk of collapse in China's real estate market, where many people's homes could become worthless.
