I sympathize a lot with calls to replace cars with public transport, but..As a new parent, I've been in a few situations in the last year or so, where having to rely on any public transport solution I can imagine would be.. bad.How could public transport be designed to accomodate the following use case(s)?[cont]

Cars are bad for regular and repeated travelling. When people commute in cars, they get stuck in traffic and everyone is delayed. Scheduled multiperson transports (Trains, trams, buses, etc.) are immensely superior for commuting.BUT! They are bad for spontaneous or acute travel. Noone takes the train to the hospital in an emergency. The bus sucks when I want to buy groceries for multiple days at a time.A solarpunk society must have solutions for both categories.

As a continuation of my last post* (linking, because I want this thread to be as accessible as possible), I want to talk about the tiny actions. What can one do, as a parent of a toddler, and with barely an hour of non-work/sleep per day, in an attempt to further a solarpunk agenda?I'm searching for small changes and tiny actions, but what and how?* https://sunbeam.city/@zatnosk/101413763318311802
