Dear Lithuanians, why is it called Rududu? Where does this word come from?I've eaten it, learnt what it is and how to make it, stories of explosions, I looked up the history of the product, but can't figure out why it's got this name.Is it just a product name of a popular brand?#Lithuanian #Language #Lithuania #Rududu[For those not from Lithuania, Rududu is boiled (caramelized) sweetened condensed milk like Dulce de Leche, commonly used in desserts or you can just smear it on bread or pig out and eat it with a spoon.]

@piggo Probably wrong potato.I only make potato chips (UK: crisps) from scratch. fries only from the freezer bag because they're a lazy instant food.Both in the air fryer. Coat with fat and fry, done. If soggy, fry longer!

#Homesteading adventure of the day: The spring water hose froze, no running water, wife grumpy, #Knirps screaming (he picks up moods). I hauled a bucket up the well, but that made nobody happy.It didn't freeze in lower temperatures last winter, I guess it was the lack of snow cover combined with high wind chill.Initial thoughts of making a fire on the steel cover were quickly discarded when I remembered I had a forced air diesel heater sitting in the garbarn.Pounded a steel post into the frozen ground to secure a rope, slithered partway down a steep, snowy slope and set up the spring heater 😁 Couple hours later, water from the tap resumes and I'm warming my frozen buttcheeks on the tile heater. ☕#Homestead #Spring #Water #Frozen #DIY #Melting #DieselHeater #Adventure

Shovelling snow somewhat pointless, I turn around and the wind has driven it all back. On the upside, you can get rid of snow by just throwing it in the air and it flies off down the meadow 😆Found the silly cat sitting in the back of the drafty barn, highly pregnant and looking like she might give birth in this ice storm. At least she seems to have found the nest I prepared for that. Gave her some meat so she doesn't have to hunt tonight. The mice are probably staying home to eat their acorn stashes anyways.@vaviurka made arbuznikas and hot chicken broth, perfect for warming up. As is leaning my back on the hot tile heater. @marius Happy with the ThermoVue sensor on my phone.Also very happy that after agonizing about the choice between plug-in module and built-in, I went with built-in thermal imaging. It's been useful having a thermal imager ready in my pocket on many occasions :)Infiray supplies Russia with military optics. FLIR does the same with Trumpistan. Choose your evil!
