@textfiles By instance, would you happen to know if the @internetarchive or people in its community are engaged in archiving Tweets?I have a hunch on mirroring them (+ image uploads, t.co short URLs) from personal Twitter archives, and reconstructing the graph on IPFS, due to their (mostly) immutable nature. If there's anybody out there, please wave a hand!

@textfiles Thanks Jason. That's probably not the scale I had in mind ;)Reconstructing Twitter history from merging exported Twitter archives. There must be some place where this has been thought up already, I'm sure.Let me see here. No. Or here? No. Well, maybe over there ... @internetarchive

@strypey Did you manage to deploy it? I've found it super hard to align all the components with their unconventional startup script a few years ago when investigating answers for https://next.allmende.io/posts/9/a-participatory-forms-environment

@w3c Do you know if the OGC is addressible via ActivityPub somewhere?

@strypey @radiofreefedi I'd like a way to could get people like Ben Alpha Steppa to enable ActivityPub on their WordPress websites, and vend with a federated shopping cart, as you suggest. Parts of the associated transactions could be routed through systems like Liberapay or Open Collective for transparency, if people like. And also DJs who will ultimately promote the music need venues for their broadcasts, now scattered across Mixcloud, Soundcloud and Hearthis.at.Funkwhale's UI? end of story

@strypey @radiofreefedi What you are actually saying is that I should start offering Faircamp to @ecobytes members, and to directly approach, often already considering themselves alternative (sic!), music producers, at least the ones I know. Am I correct?Or, as Faircamp is multi-tenant, I could host an instance for the German/European dub scene. Or encourage cooperations in other countries. This is damn large, when you think it to the consequence. And has the potential to shift funds a lot.

@aral I was thinking of running an instance for the computational common allmende.io, alongside the existing lab.allmende.io GitLab.We don't always need all of its features and sometimes I just need a git and that's itThe application is simple and we still have enough compute left at @ecobytes Also I wanted to offer you our self-managed PowerDNS at some point, which is now closer to being available for API use, if you wanted to test that.Should we roll a git.allmende.io Forgejo instance?

@matrix Hi! Thanks for spreading the word. One question regarding the appeal to send in bug reports about "Unable to decrypt" errors.Unfortunately the message does not indicate <em>how</em> or <em>where</em> to do so. Would you have any pointers what they mean?Like clicking some buttons in the Element apps, or writing down observations of the behaviours into GitHub issue, or joining some kind of channel to say hi? It's just not clear to me, and eventually others. Thanks for the heads up!

@FediverseSymbol Nice symbol. Do you also have a proposal to replace the term Fediverse? I know many people, me included, who don't want to or cannot use it as a term in political debates, myself included.Social Web was once one proposal, Open Socials is another. Maybe you've heard of other alternative naming that is more accessible in its name does not put the effort into a niche?

@postmarketOS I was very surprised recently that Alpine's musl resolves DNS differently than glibc.- https://biriukov.dev/docs/resolver-dual-stack-application/5-getaddrinfo-from-musl-libc/- https://jvns.ca/blog/2022/02/23/getaddrinfo-is-kind-of-weird/- https://wiki.musl-libc.org/functional-differences-from-glibc.html#Name-Resolver/DNS- https://martinheinz.dev/blog/92- https://purplecarrot.co.uk/post/2021-09-04-does_alpine-resolve_dns_properly/In our case it breaks the search domain for Docker containers which would like to discover each other via DNS. This limitation of the search domain might also apply to mobile devices on postmarketOS in networks that set one.

@strypey Sounds like something #funkwhale could do. I've seen a mention of Stripe in a recent PieFed toot. Maybe there's going to be more of a paywalled federation at some point, or the protocol can guarantee that I'm sharing my 5 allowed private copies for music media (EU, DE)?
