Since #whatsapp and #facebook are being cut off in #Russia, a lot of my russian expats friends are switching to #Signal to keep communicating with their family and friends back home. And that's probably not a bad choice. Maybe the better one, that will probably never be cut off, unless Internet goes down for everyone, is #Deltachat. It's time to teach your friends how to use @delta

Ok, got a first bread out made with #tritordeum . Didn't do anything fancy, used one of my usual recipe and change white wheat flour with tritordeum flour. So I had 1/3 integral wheat flour and 2/3 tritrodeum. I gave it the same proofing time. Not sure it was a good idea. Out of the proofing basket, it had a good shape. But then quickly collapsed. Overproofing? Or else? The humidity seemed alright. The crust seems harder. Maybe I could cook it less. But overall taste is good.#sourdough

@bitwarden you already have a following on Mastodon and can post these here. I'm not sure why you need to open an account on a pixelfed instance for this. I'm not sure you would reach a different audience. And it would be a different account for you to maintain. For your followers, it does not change much since they will see your posts in their own fedi UI, whether it's misskey, pleroma or any compatible fedi sotware for that matter.

It's no surprise that #DeltaChat mastodon account ( @delta ) has more followers than the equivalent twitter account (@delta_chat).But what impresses me is the amount of platform you can install it from. https://delta.chat/en/downloadGreat job from the Delta team to make it available in so many places.

I'm sure some people have already thought about this, but it just occured to me that there is a somewhat lock-in mechanism with #fediverse software like #mastodon for all the features that it offers and that are not part of the #ActivityPub protocol. I'm thinking of the "transfer your followers" feature, for example. Any plans anyone knows to prevent this and allow more interoperability?
