@mathias Certainly - just goes to show there are actors pushing their agenda on both sides of the spectrum.The issue with surveillance capitalism is, you have an entire industry behind it lobbying and conservative institutionalised incompetence falling for lobbyists as usual. And this pattern is not limited to germany as some of the surveillance mechanisms like chat control are pushed on EU level.Also isn't it fascinating how conservatives keep pushing unlawful surveillance without any consequences? Aber damit sind diese Probleme halt nicht behoben. Am Ende muss das in Code umgesetzt, getestet und ausgerollt werden. Das macht man nicht an einem Nachmittag. Und ohne Frontend-Entwickler stehen die Chance nicht gut, dass sowas Near-Term umgesetzt wird.Wenn du eine:n Frontend-Entwickler:in kennst, der sich das anschauen möchte, weiße ihn:sie doch gerne auf den existierenden issue hin.

@jcbrand @Goffi Not sure how this will play out, but think that indeed there is huge potential in #Fediverse + #XMPP. #Friendica accounts do serve as xmpp accounts which is a major benefit I think not many users are realising and it doesn't do a great job of exposing / presenting that functionality to users.In the past it even had an xmpp add-on allowing for xmpp chat in a small window whenever logged into friendica in the browser.Sadly the add-on is not in great shape currently and has been disabled.

@apps Should notifications works with friendica account? Using squeet me with io.heckel.ntfy as push distributor. However no notification ever shows. In ntfy I see 6 entires for etalab (UnifiedPush). Not sure if this should work. Has this setup been tested or been reported as functional?
