I finally helped Shelly @sfryer setup a Mastodon social media account:https://mastodon.cloud/@sfryerMastodon is very Twitter-like but completely advertisement-free. It’s part of the FEDIVERSE, which is a standards-based social media ecosystem NOT owned by any single company. (1/4) Last night’s barbecue and potluck with members of our school Gospel Choir was a big success! I’ll share first about the homemade peach cobbler we had, which was a hit. This was a slight modification of the peach and pineapple cobbler recipe have on our family recipe website:https://food.wesfryer.com/2021/03/09/peach-and-pineapple-cobbler/Last night’s was just peach cobbler, but it was a doubled recipe. Rather than Bisquick for the mix, I used 2 boxes of “Calhoun Bend Mill Peach Cobbler Mix”

(2/4) from Walmart:https://www.walmart.com/ip/Calhoun-Bend-Mill-Peach-Cobbler-Mix-8-oz-Pack-of-6/47335240I also cooked this in my red enamel dutch oven. The steps were:1- Melted half a stick of butter in the Dutch oven (no lid) as the oven preheated to 375 degrees.2- Mixed 1.25 cups of Almond milk (I didn’t have regular milk) in with the dry cobbler mix.3- Drained 2 24 oz cans of Kirkland sliced

@mike I would like to live in a community where no one sells Halloween stuff until October 1, and Christmas decorations can’t be sold until after Thanksgiving. I suppose this qualifies me now as a “grumpy old person…” :-)

@wjmaggos @frumble @wallabag I’m pretty sure there is a search parameter that can be added to the URL to change the sort order. I think by default it does show the most recent saves first. I will look into this… #Pinboard cc @cogdog
