no clue how deep the spying is ,thats why i wanted to know more. in theory the binary blobs in firmware could be used for spying.. thats what i would to know more about, but they didnt want to have that discussion

yeah i don't trust the hardware... wish i could install libreboot on my laptop :/As far as i know it can auto update so even if there is no spyware right now at any point in time it just need a software update on minix

i think whats concerning is that the possibility is out there and minix auto updates, would just need a new spyware update...definitly will invest in a device with libreboot next time

yes i fully agree with what you are saying, but instead of having this kind of discussion they immediately block me and accuse me of misinformation.It is important to not forget that firmware updates could be a potential for adding spyware in a secrete way and that it can be a privacy concern. I agree that graphene os + pixel phone is probably the most secure combo you can have.What gets be riled up is mainly that they just accused me of misinformation when i mentioned hardware switches. I know the weaknesses of hardware switches, that wasn't my point lol, I was saying that hardware switches are great or anything like that.Also when I mentioned the prism program and that google is in the business of spying this concern was ignored and they spouted things about how US laws protect people from being spied on...

what i am getting from the discourse on twitter is that if you question them you get blocked and then all the graphene fanboys accuse you of getting paid, being a fed and being retarted. That is super toxic in my opinion.
