       @My_SimpleMind While I did have a Twitter account, I didn't really use it (or want to use it). I've been thinking about joining Mastodon for a while, the recent influx of people was the final push I needed.

       @My_SimpleMind Extreme bigotry put me off the most, and I was never a big fan of the centralization anyways.I like Mastodon a lot. There's a few quirks, but I can live with those. The community is so much better.

       @LexTenebris @Davidtoddmccarty You can express your opinion without saying slurs. I'm not going to allow slurs by mindless harassers for the 0.01% chance that they might say something useful. You can say "dangerous things" in a safe space; it's just that boring repetetive racist and transphobic comments are useless and annoying.Regardless, to me it just seems like you're trying to make a very contrived argument against safe spaces; based on nothing factual or concrete.

       #FediBlock https://shota.house New instance that explicitly allows NSFW depictions of children, which is illegal in many countries and should be unwanted regardless. There also seems to be a 6 hour old bot that just follows random accounts (it's already following 2.5k accounts and it seems like people are following back thoughtlessly, it already has 300 followers). I recommend blocking ASAP before anyone on your instance is exposed.
