@sj that's a mix of stats though, right? You're looking at fatalities, but the recent recall was explicitly about possible crashes.I'm not disputing your data, but I'm not sure how would we aggregate crashes+fatalities into a "more/less dangerous" metric.

@sj Good info. But the data they present is stacked a bit.1. They don't allow drivers with low score to try FSD which means this compares "good drivers with FSD" to "everyone else".2. The national average makes the selection bias even worse (how many teenagers can use a Tesla with FSD -vs- a cheapo "first car" with hopefully working airbags?)3. Autopilot and others are still primarily used on highways which have lower accident rates than cities.

@iank @alyssa yes! If a switch doesn't reliably switch the state, it can get in the bin right away. (Especially so if it thinks it needs the internet to work)

@sj I'm not sure you can survey this "Not muddied by other issues." Regardless of the opinion about that result - you can't realistically ask "ignoring the experience of your whole life, the last two wars around your home, your current situation of relying on foreign aid for existence, what do you think of ..." and expect you'll get that. It's a fucked up situation, but people who don't see other options choose aggression.

@foone I'm running some medical software automation where the creators do not care much about either automation or easy workflows. Oh well. Change pricing on 100 items? Windows automation.
