@ukkasha religion just like any philosophy can be used as a tool of exploitation. When the famous term 'inquilab' was coined by Hasrat Mohani(popularised by Bhagat Singh) it meant "inquilab se mera matlab insaan ke haatho se insaan ka shoshan bandh ho". One solution I came across in liberation theology was a human being must self actualise. This means becoming aware of the self and breaking the structures that keep one shackled. However this cant be achieved by anger @Vishsai @Irani_chai @sufi

@itssynecdoche If you are getting so many responses which are varied it means that the statement you made could be interpreted in several ways. The latter part of your statement was my conversation with you where I was explaining how I get my clients to relook at their attitude towards being overweight by thinking about getting fit rather than losing fat. By "Reclaim fat" I presumed you meant to destigmatise the phrase just as the word 'queer' is now used in a positive context. Correct?

@SilkyNsa thanks! Those blog posts were reflections during a very difficult phase of my life. I needed to write them so that I could deal with the effects while I was working on the main issue. Since I philosophically come from the line that any exploitation is wrong irrespective of identity I dont want to posit it as man vs woman vs queer vs religion as that becomes very divisive and the issue of human beings exploiting other human beings is lost in the noise 1/n

@SilkyNsa 🙂 I understand what you are saying and I also know that this sort of identity fragmentation has more negative impact than positive in the long run.Let me explain: right now the exploited sections are slowly raising their voice. Sometimes some of the exploited will become exploiters them self either thru their own thoughts or misguided by others. Rather than going into an antagonistic battle which will weaken the transformation we could put safeguards and move engage productively

@SilkyNsa I'm reminded of two Che Guevara quotes, "If you tremble with indignation at every injustice then you are a comrade of mine" and "At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality." So, while you are angry about things going wrong you need to respond with #love and #compassion https://reflectacttransform.wordpress.com/2017/05/05/how-does-one-deal-with-extreme-hate-or-revenge/

@SilkyNsa Have you dealt with #humiliation? Have you felt like humiliating somebody? If yes then please do read and share this short reflection of mine.“We learn humility through accepting humiliations cheerfully” – Mother Teresahttps://reflectacttransform.wordpress.com/2019/08/02/humiliation-and-its-benefits/

Dear #Mastobaters, we have spent around ten days critiquing #birdsite, #politics, #religion etc.. Can we start building things or do something. For example, #Mastodon was built as a constructive critique for birdsite, #freedombox was built was a critique of #cloud computing and so on. What would you like to build in your domain for a #problem that you care about. Start talking, get a community together, build #solutions, test, #feedback, iterate. Move forward.

@Deepsealioness Are you angry with men in general? Maybe I'd like to experience child birth but NO. Only women can. But if I do get that opportunity then it would be appropriation of something solely meant for women, right?. Can we just stop complaining ;-) @TheTweetOfGod

@SilkyNsaI thought we were talking about biological cycles, no? And @Deepsealioness can reduce strss by switching off SM if it is really causing problems. As @TheTweetOfGod pointed out, some of us, me included, love to fight. We create moments online and offline and enjoy it fully. Yup, I had to take therapy. Better now. Thanks :-)

@KnottedBow I absolutely agree with the points shared. No judgement. However, self actualisation requires us to make choices and then live the outcome of those choices. As humans we have a lot of flexibility to navigate every step of the way. The question is philosophy we adopt to guide our path. As solution, we all need to spend quiet time w/o devices, with our family and friends, in meditation. Online is a facade. We need to make the pain a transformatory experience @SilkyNsa @Deepsealioness

@KnottedBow @SilkyNsa @Deepsealioness We.also need to accept that these online battles we engage in won't change anything. Nothing. We are just massaging our egos thinking we are changing the world. It is nice to have conversations with like minded people, collaborate on projects, etc However the real challenge is what we do F2F on the ground. And if we are driven by anger rather than love and compassion to those whose ideology we don't agree with then burn out is guaranteed

@KnottedBow @SilkyNsa Twitter brings out the worst in us. It makes us want to humiliate others because we feel humiliated by others. So the lady was doing exactly that. I can only empathise with her. And let us not blame PMS. That's an excuse for very rude behaviour
