So, this afternoon I cut the fabric for a new shirt, because one can't have enough shirts, right?This time it's the same purplish-blue cotton popeline I've used for my vaccine jab shirt (which uses the historically accurate vampire shirt pattern), and I've cut the 1880s pattern, but with wide and longish rectangular sleeves instead of the tapered ones of that pattern.I wanted to have honeycombing on the front, but I've done a sample and it has taken significantly more fabric than I expected (the instruction said it would take twice the fabric, but it's more like three times), so now I'm wondering what do to. I could go for gathers instead.I can start preparing the collar and cuffs, anyway, and possibly some other seam.

Quindi, oggi pomeriggio ho tagliato la stoffa per una nuova camicia, perché non si hanno mai abbastanza camicie, giusto?Questa è nel popeline di cotone che ho usato per la mia camicia da vaccinazioni (fatta col modello della camicia da vampiro storicamente accurata) e ho tagliato il modello del 1880, ma con le maniche rettangolari larghe e abbastanza lunghe anziché quelle a trapezio che dovrebbe avere.Volevo fare dello smocking sul davanti, ma ho fatto un campione e ha preso decisamente più stoffa di quanto mi aspettassi (le istruzioni dicevano il doppio, ma è almeno il triplo), per cui ho dei dubbi su cosa fare. Magari potrei arricciare.Intanto comunque posso preparare colletto e polsini, e magari fare qualche altra cucitura.

@0ciX_revoluti0ns credo di non aver mai partecipato all'acquisto di una casa senza prima averne viste almeno 20, e sono al terzo acquisto in cui sono coinvolta.in tutti e tre i casi non c'era bisogno impellente di spostarsi, e si stava cercando in una zona abbastanza vicina a dove già si abitava da poter fare visite alle case senza troppa fatica, immagino che con uno sfratto imminente o dovendosi trasferire a centinaia di km di distanza sarebbe stato diverso.ma gli agenti immobiliari ovviamente hanno tutto interesse a far vedere meno case possibile e vendere in fretta

@Remittancegirl my experience in this part of the world is that unisex toilets have a very high chance of being too gross to be used unless standing, so I'd prefer to have toilets reserved for females (no funnels allowed) and Germans (who I believe get properly potty trained when young, sit down and manage not to splash around), but no Italian males, thanks.If we could have magically clean toilets, yeah, why not make them unisex

@jwildeboer @Remittancegirl if I'm traveling on a train I know that for the time I'm on the train I won't have access to a toilet (and thus plan in advance to avoid drinking too much etc.): the ones on the train are quite likely to be too gross to be used, and even on fancier trains where they may clean them, unless I have a traveling companion I would have no room to put my bag anywhere, which makes using the toilet not exactly easy (and no, I can't just leave the bag at my seat and expect to find it when I'm back).

@GustavinoBevilacqua @ParoleSparse c'è però da dire che se abbastanza persone comprano il sistema per aggiungere il comando vocale alle luci (o quello che è), il prezzo scende drasticamente, e diventa più facile per la persona allettata (che mediamente non ha grande budget) permetterselose solo le aziende producessero sistemi di comando vocale (e tutto il resto) fatti in modo ragionevole, e non composti da un ammasso di vulnerabilità condito da spionaggio :(

@ParoleSparse @GustavinoBevilacqua che io sappia al momento la scelta è:* tecnologia non etica, prodotta in massa e relativamente accessibile (sia come prezzo che come semplicità d'uso)* tecnologia etica sviluppata da volontari, che non hanno e non hanno modo di avere le risorse per renderla semplice da usare per chiunque (e per la parte hardware o si devono basare su hardware non etico hackerato, oppure hanno prezzi di produzione significativamente più alti)* non usare la tecnologiaio ho il grosso privilegio di potermi permettere la seconda opzione, ma è un privilegio, e non ho idea di come si possa fare per allargarlo a più persone possibile (ma ho un paio di idee su come *non* fare), ma spero che qualcuno ci riesca

@clacke afaik they used to be made of silk, then they switched to paper, and then they remembered about the silk ones and decided that it was a good idea to use a plastic-based silk lookalikeand now they are back to paper, thankfully

@allanon @storiespettinate @parapiglia @informapirata io tutto sommato non mi trovo male con vecchio dumbphone nokia + pinephone, però il gps non va (problema hardware del pinephone), nella borsa ho due power bank e in banca ho insistito per avere l'altra modalità di accesso (e per i biglietti del treno uso il sito, ecc. ecc.)

@Szescstopni depending on what you need from photoshop, I know that @davidrevoy makes comics that have also been professionally published using only Free Software under linux, and talks about his tools on his blog.the most photoshop-like one used is #krita
