"So, Mom & I went to the child psychologist. We all talked for a bit, then the shrink requested to speak to me alone. Mom left. I felt like I fucked up so badly. The shrink turned to me, and said with the most serious look:'Don't worry, I get homophobic parents all the time. You're okay, Nick.'"https://blog.ncase.me/2010-2019

@clacke @jairajp I mean, it depends on whether or not there is an instance to verify whether one is really inputting their own fingerprint, doesn't it? Logically, automated systems (like phones) cannot do that.

FIDO2 would almost be nice. But the secrets hardcoded into its physical keys are generated at the factory, aren't they? m(

So the secret in FIDO2 physical keys, from which all keypairs used to authenticate derive, is already compromised once it leaves the factory. And since there is no backward secrecy and you're not (supposed to be) able to change it, it will always remain compromised.

@fdroidorg This is a really interesting idea; I had to include Conscrypt in one of my applications and was very annoyed by the increase in application size as well.

Why is there no Magisk module or something that brings back the old, non-round icons that most apps still ship with?

Lucky Patcher is able to patch Android to disable signature checking and force the package manager to allow downgrades on Android, this is very convenient for me (and also a kind of security risk)

This patch to the Android system is the greatest assistance when doing Android dev I could think of, besides ADB over network as a quick settings widget and scrcpy.
