@jrballesteros05 afaik "stewardess" is the longest word you can spell with just your left hand on a US keyboardi know that's not relevant, but it's the closest i'm gonna get with that particular fun fact.

Uncaught Error: The `style` prop expects a mapping from style properties to values, not a string. For example, style={{marginRight: spacing + 'em'}} when using JSX.---Disgruntled Old Man Me:Back in my day the only property that any attribute would take is a string.---and for fun, this is the line of code that threw the error:<div style="margin: 0 auto;"> and what it wants me to do is:<div style={{margin: "0 auto"}}>

If were were to do a retrospective on security vulnerabilities from Flash compared to modern data breaches...Was the decision to relentlessly destroy Flash an overreaction?

@x IMO, it's a cultural thing. That shitty employee contract has the same roots throughout IBM's history and the software industry at large. The belief that you can own a person because they signed a piece of paper. The exploitation of people with a clear and entrenched power differential. If you didn't check out that Dave Chappelle set, please do. Also, the previous article I wrote and linked to gets more into the context.Another relevant article from yesterday: https://www.protocol.com/google-contractors-forced-unemployment

@dallin @josias the world's been a d20 all along.Flipping a coin results always results in a 1 or a 2, with a critical failure or a chance at success given the right combination of skills and abilities, but likely also a failure. We miss 100% of the rolls we don't take for crit success.

A brief update on my open source work...The framework I've spent the last 6 months building is stable enough that I'm running it in production for an application at work.https://thelanding.page/tag/One of the primary drivers for not using React/Vue/Angular/Other is the inherent complexity within all of them.Instead, I wanted something that could meet the criteria of a Trivial Technology:https://trivial.technology/I feel tag meets this, where other contemporary approaches fail.

Next steps for me will be to finally begin building applications for Solid.I gave an update on the forums yesterday.https://forum.solidproject.org/t/idea-launcher-app/3468/4While I would have loved to start building last year, I genuinely don't believe React et al., will still be relevant in the next ten years and I'm trying to make apps that will last for as long as the web lasts.cc@VincentTunru @noeldemartin since i know both of you are invested in the solid ecosystem :)

@noeldemartin thanks for making Media Kraken btw, playing with it got me interested the potential for Solid.if you want to try combining forces on anything, you've got solid knowledge and i know the ins and outs of Tag.i think the coolest thing about combining solid and tag is that tag persists state into IndexedDB automatically. subsequent loads can read without waiting on the network.i mean, hypothetically 😅, but it does work with the GraphQL based approach at work.
