@Linux4Everyone true yet they still just do the bare minimum: they still keep their drivers up wraps that as binary blobs , they still have not made their website more consistent (from which unless you go to this specific cuda tool kit page you can download incomplete driver for Linux using the normal driver page etc. Nvidia is the only choice for development due tot cuda. Zo they do nog have care.

So they do not have to care that much. Its better but not there yet

@Linux4Everyone Most people to not argue for purity for the sake of it. Its a type of political advocacy. The closed vs foss has specific political (and thus real life) consequences. You should never shame people for using what works. I even dual boot windows for games. That does not make it less important to advocate for 100% FOSS. FOSS has inherently some things that closed source could never have and it can easily shift the definition of "what works best".

@boilingsteam both sides are being asses here though. Like the reporting of the issue is extremely condescending. That should never have any effect with dealing with the actual regression, but my god both sides are being obnoxious.

@boilingsteam The Ally looks like a great product. But even though the price is excellent it is still kinda too much for a handheld. Also Valve sells the deck at a cost and get profit from selling games. If ASUS are selling the Ally at cost then where will the profit cone from?
