Hey, some dude around here on fosstodon or somewhere similar wrote a piece of software that starts and stops and watches daemons.Can someone point me to it? I can't find him anymore, nor his utility...

@alilly It reads systemd-like servicefiles and acts like the service supervisor part of systemd only. But isn't meant as a replacement of pid 0.He wrote it for his Pinephone to start/stop services more easily and lightweight on PostmarketOS.

I'm now one of them...I own a #monero :monero: wallet.No, I don't _invest_ in crypto. I just want to own some, because yeah, it's really private, and I'm into that.(It took a solid 4 months to convince me to set up and buy crypto. It has a large negative stigma, which it rightfully earned, IMHO. However, there is something to be said about Monero's approach. I'm not 100% sold, but, like 90%.)

Ok, so starting off... learning #Haskell with #AoC... Day 1 challenge 1.I already hate Haskell.It was clearly invented by mathematicians, not practical programmers.Took me about 3 hours, no prior Haskell experience.The thing that really screwed with me is that there are no loops in Haskell, there is only recursion.And also, function chaining works the other way around, because math does it right-to-left. Ugh.

Also, I've found #ChatGPT to be a really helpful Stackoverflow / Google replacement. I successfully used it as a rubber duck replacement that answers and is surprisingly often helpful.

@internetarchive Hehe, I've never been fan of the current copyright system, so seeing it dismantled fills my heart with joy. Sure, copyright protected smaller creators too, but it currently mostly serves big corps.
