@textfiles yes! Omg, I’ve had so many archivists complain that “search should be easier with born-digital files” uhm, no, quite the opposite — PDFs are easy. Searching .doc, .odt, .pdf, .rtf, .wpd, et al with one tool is much more complex (thank you elasticsearch).

I was cleaning my coffee maker this evening. I scoured the rim around the filter basket, and I scooped out spilled grounds.When I looked in the reservoir, I gagged! A dead Lady Asian beetle lay in the bottom.🤢 I've been hyper-vigilant about vacuuming or disposing of them when they find their way indoors, so this was quite the shock! 🫠😬🐞🐞🐞🐞Here’s a PSA to check your coffee maker, clean if necessary, and good luck keeping beetles out of your home!!

I follow the bot for the Simple Sabotage Field Manual and a Tech Self Care bot. Both bots are scheduled within minutes of each other, and sometimes I’m confused by which post is sabotage and which post is self-care.For example, “Delete all memos and deny knowledge of updates” could go either way.
