@BrodieOnLinux they do not really backpedal... it's not how I understand the concept of backpedaling. They try to bullshit their way out of a bad decision, without changing the core decision. The promise of not selling data is not back. It was removed, it's still is removed.

I'm happy to announce that I'm upgrading from bronze to silver donor for Godot. My game Fallacy Quiz made with Godot is enough of a success that I'm confortable making that change! If you profit from what you make with Godot or just like the project, consider donating too. 😉 #godot #GodotEngine

If you are a user of Kdenlive, did you ever try to use a playback speed different than 1? like 2 time speed for instance? In that case you may have heard glitchy audio. I think this is not a bug, but an implementation issue, I think Kdenlive should use timeline stretching audio scrubbing. It is a wide spread feature in modern video editors, a seemingly ubiquitous one. So much so that users can't spot that the feature is missing and just think that there is a bug. 1/2 #kdenlive #kde

It's a much needed feature for a modern video editor, and I think it should be considered as a priority since its addition could benefit Kdenlive and its user greatly. I opened a feature request here if you want more information: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=506761 Maybe the feature already exist in MLT but I don't think so. Should we ask to implement it in MLT or could Kdenlive implement it on their side. If you know any app using MLT that has proper audio scrubbing, or have any info, let me know. 2/2

I decided to also open an issue on MLT side: https://github.com/mltframework/mlt/issues/1098

Olive editor 0.2 (it's dead but you can still find appimages) had perfect 2 time speed audio playback but it also did not use MLT as a backend, so I'm starting to thing that the issue is with MLT. (Also there's nothing in Kdenlive codebase right now that handles playback, it's all being done by MLT)

I successfully upgraded my system disk from 256GB to 1To, it was a bit stressful, but everything went according to plan! I used a Live USB to run dd, then gparted, then I removed the original drive and turned the computer back on. I have back ups of everything, you shouldn't do any of that without a back up. Mixing source and destination could destroy everything.

@djsumdog @Julianoe @ Grok is that true???Yes the issue is thinking it has any legitimacy. It's not hallucinating sometimes, it is always hallucinating, by design, sometimes the hallucinations make sense to you.

It's bold to call part of your hardware plateau when innovation hits a plateau and your argument comes back to "we made it finner". And by the way, compact phones used to have close to feature parity. Keep your phone or buy refurbished. It's been more than enough for years now.
