@Ambermaynard What a sad song, and so freaking true. Almost all the ranches I’ve worked on, and my own family’s ranch have this struggle. I almost can’t listen to this acorn Lund song for that reason. But he’s one of my favorite artists!

@Elang The trucking organizations and Teamsters Union are responsible for this. 3 days without shipping and California would grind to a haul, but instead the union backed Newsome and is politically in bed with them. They cow-towed to the CARB laws back in the day and they could have single-handedly stopped this nonsense, but they won’t. A 3 day general strike is all it would take.

@TheOrangeCircle JD Farag has really pulled me from proverbially drinking milk, to eating meat. As a confession of my own sins, my wife and I lived together before we were married. When I started serving at the church we were attending, the pastor said, to marry us, and for me to serve, we couldn’t be in sin. We stayed celibate for a year until we got married. Power of the Holy Spirit brother. He is great!

God is Great! There were a lot of hard lessons learned in this hunt. My first “successful” elk hunt. Even with a text book shot, there was almost no blood trail and I lost him day one. I found him, 11am the next day but he had already spoiled in the heat. It is all still the greatest blessing from the Lord, both with success and humility.

@commandlinekid I would like to see the research with this. I am a big fan of fasting, but I haven't experienced the immune boost from it that I so often hear claimed. I fast 2-3 days per week, and then have some scheduled 5 day fasts. I find when I get sick I need to take in calories to feel better, not fast harder. Just my experience.

@commandlinekid I do roughly 30hr fasts. I stop eating when I got to bed and then I don't eat until breakfast of the day after 24hrs. What that post was talking about with autophagy, is where the immunity is supposed to really start to increase. It is increasing cellular regeneration by kicking in your body's "self consumption"-autophagy. That purges all the cells that either dead, weak, or worthless. It is supposed to really decrease the chance of cancer too.

The bolder children were hurt, the younger children just had bumps and scratches. Ben was a forester with me for years and his wife was our wildlife biologist. Her parents were killed in 2018 in a similar crash. Ben was an only child. His parents have temporary custody of the 2 younger children, and her ex has the older 2.
