@noelle Give a man a big red truck, and he becomes a fireman.

@djsundog @Ricardus Every time I see the Pinebook mentioned I feel an irrational need to purchase one.But I have a R-Pi in a laptop enclosure and can't think of anything I'd do with a Pinebook that I couldn't do with an R-Pi, so ... meh.

Not going to lie, the screenshot feature that's been added to Firefox is making prep for my #PUWT18 presentations a LOT easier.

NOTE TO NEW USERS: Mastodon's a cool place, but it's private like a local coffee shop, not a home bathroom.Remember that the admin of your instance can see EVERYTHING you post, including direct posts. They can even disable 2 factor authentication, if you have it enabled (and you should. No really, enable that stuff now.)Bottom line: Find an instance where you feel you can trust your admin, and don't send direct toots unless you trust the admin at the recipient's instance as well.

There are times when I'm surprised that people are still using FB, etc, but then I remember that there are still active users on G+ and I am reminded that inertia is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

I need to bring a "charged laptop" to a training tomorrow and I'm tempted to have it be my PiTop, even though it's a 3B (no +).

Other than a small sticker on the bottom there is no visible branding on the @PINE64 PineBook Pro. All the stickers I add now will be for purely aesthetic reasons. (Images: Three views of the unboxed PineBook, bottom, top, and open)

@msh @djsundog As someone who used to do residential electrical work, February has always felt like the "If I can just survive this..." month. Also one of the top 5 reasons why I changed careers to something that's inside during the winter.

@msh @djsundog I think that's something we'll need hindsight to figure out for sure. January feels a lot like a February until you've encountered true February.
