@Barros_heritage @politicaltheory @politicalscience Yes this is definitely worldwide, and the US is ramping up to the same status. My belief is that politics should be removed from all forms of leadership, whether national or local. It's just a poison that eats away at government from the inside out.

@TruthSandwich @Barros_heritage @politicaltheory @politicalscience It does seem that way, and the politicians themselves are dedicated to hardening that belief. In reality, politics are only a layer over government function. It allows people to assign themselves to a certain camp, to redirect blame to the party instead of the person, thereby removing accountability. It allows group unification of a set of values within that camp, so there are more avenues available to pass successful legislation. But functioning of government is filtered through politics but does not rely on them even though the politicians want you to think otherwise.Politicians are like a middleman, like DoorDash, or Spotify. And you can even say their maneuvering enshittifies the government. Remove politics, the government is still there.Removing politics shifts the onus of responsibility to the person. It invalidates party based voting, the filibuster, lobbying, the parliamentarian, and so much more.

I should have said "political parties" not politics in general. They seem so intertwined that I ended up lumping them together.So wherever you see "politics" insert "political parties" instead.The removal of political parties and letting all candidates run on their individual values is what I was trying to convey.

Removing the political parties will weaken the tier of power that politicians have with their group. They become independently accountable and will have to answer for their actions.This will help remove Naziism and Racism but it wasn't the subject I was focusing on. Not for this post.

As a person subject to ageism (ie... trying to get into the tech field in my 30's), then eventually building my own freelance career because no one would take me.As someone who fights to keep my financial head above water month by month, skipping showers and lunch breaks frequently...I find this idea of "a thriving economy" disgusting and laughable.The country has never been in a worse place as it is now. The rest of the world is also very close.Everyone from the middle class on down is rendered invisible as to the economic metrics.There is no "Unity" in the states. Everyone is grasping and clawing for money and resources, sometimes throwing their friend or neighbor over the cliff to get it.The source of this consternation does not come directly from people. It comes from those who lead the people, or those who control the resources that people need.Always look up the ladder to discover the core of the problems plaguing this country.

The more I read/hear about the wealthy, the more I become convinced that wealth is a mental illness. I might liken it to hoarding, but much much worse.I am in the class of the working poor. Due to necessity and the need for survival I've learned how to do all kinds of things to keep a decent quality of life while keeping costs low. Things like fixing problems with my car. Building my own computer. Building my own web apps to prevent having to pay license fees. Nutritional & dietary changes to remain healthy... things like that.But if I step into the shoes of the wealthy I might look at it in a similar war. The difference of course is money. They might see their own lifestyle as a means of survival. They can BUY all the things necessary for their quality of life, while I have to BUILD them.The other difference I see, and this is the most important one... would be things like selfishness and risk. 1/2

@stefano I saw this at an agency as a front end developer, building Coldfusion site on MURA templates.It wasn't about optimizing functionality. It was about packing in code (or extensions/plugins) until something worked. I was even admonished for stripping out the previous failures.
