It’s delicious. Looks a bit like hummus but doesn’t taste like it. Adding to the winter recipe list.

Neat behind the scenes info about Kirby game dev. Especially the optimization tricks to keep it under 512K.https://www.famitsu.com/news/201705/17132636.html

If you use Mac OS X and want to have clickable uxn app launchers for yourself, here's a starting point. https://git.sr.ht/~tendigits/launchersThis repo is mostly just ICNS versions of @rek's beautiful illustrations. The readme file explains what to do.

Is setting yourself up to teach something you don’t yet know very well a good way to learn or a fool’s errand?

Today I’ll make a bracket to hold this SBC and screen together in an upright and usable manner. I’ll thread 🧵 progress here.

Managed to get a free oscilloscope from someone local. It needs a bit of cleaning, but I took it for a quick spin reading the output of a eurorack oscillator module. 🌊

Using my website as a personal reference wiki is a choice I'm very happy about. I just setup a fresh install of Blender with plugins, unit settings and various options for practical 3D modeling in no time flat.https://tendigits.space/site/blender.html

My friend in Ukraine 🇺🇦 is helping the war effort with 3d printed grenade carriers for drones. A very sobering reminder of what is happening there.

Completed the 66 ifixit steps to remove this MacBook Pro’s battery. Now to clean up and reverse the steps to install the new one. This is worth it because I’ve replaced Mac OS with Manjaro Linux and so its zippy fast, and will be a very capable machine for years.

I’ve seen “Physical computing” described as making computers interact with the physical world (sensors and buttons, etc), but I’m curious if computing tasks themselves can be shaped into a physical form and speed that’s aligned for direct human interaction. Like lifting a block from one place to another to transfer a file. It’s purposely inefficient, but directly relatable.I do not want to wear goggles to enter a virtual space, I want the exact opposite.

Random idea for physical UI to Orca. It’s a whole new idea to a problem I’ve been noodling on for a long time.Six or so types of dice, and a tray that can “read” them is all that would be needed I think.#theWorkshop

#theObservatory http://catchingphotons.co.uk/blog/Ben Cooper's photography is mostly of abandoned places which have their own kind of beauty, but I've been enjoying the buttons and panels of various control interfaces in particular.

In the summer of '21 I started messing around with eurorack. I definitely appreciate the physicality of knobs and wires, and I've been able to find some modules that sound interesting and are fun to modulate with, but I keep trying to reconcile the vast gulf between the audio I've produced with it, and the music I'd like to create. I don't want a wall of modules, but I'm not sure that a compact system (while fun) can produce what I'd like efficiently.

I split out my little static site system into a clean starting point that I'm calling Shelp.https://git.sr.ht/~tendigits/shelpThere's documentation in the readme that explains what it is for and how to use it. Sourcehut doesn't do forks, but feel free to clone.
