@kev Maybe the regestry for .uk does provide some kind of dispute resolution mechanism, that at least prevents the owner from selling it while a solution is worked out?

@bumbervevo It's really not about what you're calling yourself. Its just about solving a problem ('scratch your own itch') that you currently have. Its just about trying to solve your problem with what you know at the time. Future you will not look favourably at your current solution, but he was not there at the time!

@jrballesteros05 @kev And that would be exactly why the old Unixes lost their pitch: Comercial vendors trying to distinguish their systems to the point of incompatibility without regard for the real interests of the users.Although the good thing this time is that its free software. IMHO the learning here is to simply avoid the comercial vendors.

@kev What would you expect from a Logo/Mascot you would like?I think it is kind of playfully different from what corporate logos where at the time of its inception. It might seem childish, but I think that was intentional at a time when Linux was not about big business, but about free software.
