@vib protip: swap the sticks in Blade Mode before you even start. There's like three points in the game where the default controls will fuck you over, so change the controls before you form the muscle memory on the default.

@Polychrome I know it's not a full solution, but if you're doing bang commands the proper way like this "!_" they also work backwards like this "_!" that way you're getting around the "space must be after punctuation" rule in this specific situationEDIT: I actually always do them backwards because I forgot which end the bang went on but the "wrong" way also works so I just ended up muscle memorizing it
