       @adam They’re definitely unwrapped 18650s, almost every large lithium ion battery pack nowadays is just a bunch of 18650s (including Tesla batteries iirc), but even though you said it’s every other cell, i’d be willing to bet these are dummy cells. Just a 0Ω resistor in the shape of a cell to maintain the structure of the battery pack without adding any power.

       @calculsoberic @schratze a lot of arch installation guides are horribly out of date and filled with misinformation. most of the arch community will tell you to rely on the wiki installation page, which is aggressively kept up to date.

       @calculsoberic @schratze manjaro is problematic for several reasons. their repos being delayed from arch’s is supposed to create stability, but it ends in some horrible partial upgrades occasionally and they’ve forgotten to update their ssl certificates multiple times. in the era of archinstall, the new(ish) tui installer that comes with arch isos, there’s really little reason to ever touch manjaro. i’ve had manjaro break on me more often in less time than arch ever has.

       @stux Prolonging this war just hurts Ukrainians. The Donbas and Luhansk regions voted to be part of Russia. What the region needs is peace negotiations so that lives aren’t lost, not more militarization of one or the other fascist. Everyone agrees that Russia is fascist, but through NATO colored glasses fail to see that Ukraine suppressing Communist parties and minority groups and promoting Nazis is also fascist.
