@ParadeGrotesque I've kept my daily laptop and one server system at -current so I've sort of already got two machines at 15.0. Now comes the fun part of updating everything else in the house, haha

@kev I run it directly, not in docker, and it works fine for me.

@kev I should've read closer - I run it directly on my linux box and it works fine for me.

@murph @Rapture :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: :slackware: Slackware is still my daily driver! I started with the 3.0 and didn't even really bother with X11 until Slackware 4.0, when they introduced KDE, which is probably why I still use KDE.

@codeHaiku It really is an awful user experience and only getting worse.

@mike I've been using them to convert channel subscriptions to my feed reader, and for what it's worth, they work pretty well. It seems like a few times a year (perhaps during an update of the site?) they'll suddenly become unavailable for a day or two, but inevitably come back.

@codeHaiku Today, in fact, on a gaming laptop that I bought specifically so I didn't have to have any MS products on any of my other machines, in the middle of a dungeon session of final fantasy 14 it seemed to deliberately crash the game client then immediately demanded that I update the BIOS and didn't give me a choice about it. This machine I've owned less than a week.

@codeHaiku if I could run everything I needed to in 2000 I absolutely would. The hardware vendors collude in this - I recently upgraded my video card since the prices have finally started coming down... and there was no driver for the card under the Windows 7 that I had installed on the machine (and that win7 install fucked around with my linux partitions CONSTANTLY... which finally just pushed me to get an isolated windows machine.)

@fatboy @5uie1 @librewolf actually, I think it's because it depends on apt/rpm to install all the dependencies as part of the build process. It also mentions something about using docker and gitlab-runner tools, neither of which are installed by default. (There are docker slackbuilds, but I'm not sure about gitlab-runner as I've never used it)There should be no reason otherwise it shouldn't build, firefox builds fine w/o systemd

@stux multi page apps that you can bookmark, manipulate, view the source on, and work with the browser's normal UI elements rather than against

@codeHaiku Peaky Blinders is intense, bloody, and awful. Such a great show. I had to turn on the subtitles because the brogues are THICK.

@stux its a pretty good example of a community website that has managed to survive the years. Also they banned trump patterns. Lol

@urusan honestly, I'm mostly self-taught because the teachers always moved too slow for me on subjects I really liked. Math, CS, physics, etc
