@fiction I felt that way for years. Now I feel like technology is wonderful, it's just the society we have formed around them that is shit. every time a huge advancement has been made (industrial revolution, Internet, freedom of religion including no religion) humanity has just shoved its dick in full force without regard for potential problems this could cause for society. a more advanced society requires more advanced and nuanced means of remaining civil, moral, efficient etc. and we're still operating like savages wearing suits in a lot of ways.
