I got a flu shot on Friday, had chills on Friday night, was violently ill all day Saturday, and have had dizziness and "brain zaps" all day Sunday.I've never had more than a sore arm from a flu shot before. What devilry is in this year's?

In addition to this guy, Ed Giannattasio, the House Dem candidate in Columbia County, dropped dead the day before the election (I think also from some kind of cancer).That dead guy still got about 30% of the votes.

@ArtistBristol Can't really speak for why people leave. All I can really think of is feminist subject matter occasionally gets a bit repetitive, but that depends on your interests. I lack the interest to do things like attending feminist webinars, and while I've got "TERF" in my profile I just use it as shorthand for "woman who doesn't want to deal with trannies" because that's all it seems to mean anymore. I don't particularly mind men who are like, normal.I stop by and have considered making a Spinster account or switching over because it's nice to be able to talk to other women about woman things (or laughing at sideshows) in an environment where I won't get bitched at for not including/wanting to deal with genderspecials.And while pretty much all of my personal interactions on Poast have been pleasant, there are some real fucking speds and I feel like a bit of an outsider. Hopping around various instances is essential.

@Cousin_Isobel Not in those exact words, but I did have a pretty severe "not like other girls" or "just wanna be one of the guys" phase. I think a lot of it was pushback against school uniforms and being shoved into ballet classes that I hated.I barely scraped by. If I had been born just a few years later, I really think I could have been convinced to troon out.When I hit my late teens/early 20s I was finally allowed to cut my hair short and wear pants and loads of my friends started becoming TIFs or "enbies." I tried the they/them thing for like a week before deciding it felt stupid and forced.

@Cousin_Isobel Ah yeah, I was an early 90s baby. I think gender weirdness, particularly grooming kids into gender weirdness, really took off as the internet became more widely accessible, more centralized, and less supervised. This shit sure didn't happen (or was less widespread) when kids were only allowed to go on Neopets and library websites.

@tangleofsnakes It sort of exists and is referred to as "hulless popcorn." All corn has hulls, but "hulless" varieties have a thin hull that explodes into tons of smaller, softer pieces as opposed to the typical big popcorn jagged-glass hulls.

@Marvin Ah yeah, that makes sense. A lot of troons I'm familiar with are weirdly obsessed with acting like or trying to be treated like a child. They're especially infuriating to deal with because they latch on to enablers and have no boundaries.
