Sick to death of Labour careerists thinking they can make a living out of putting the boot into working class people and public services. Of course our public sector needs reform, but not reform led by profiteers, reform led in the public interest and reform that values the workers who give a damn and do the work in our public services and NHS.https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2022/12/10/labour-vows-war-hostile-health-unions/Support the NHS#SupportNHSStrikes#Labour #NHS

@AuthorJaneMarch these strikes have to be seen in the same way as the miner's strike in the 80s. If we lose these we lose another generation or more to being battered down by profiteers and greed. We'll also be wrecking our planet. I honestly feel unions and workers standing up to our bosses and politicians to demand a better future is all we have right now. #Labour and Wes Streeting won't deliver, and neither will Starmer. As in the past, we'll have to force them to give us our worth

@AuthorJaneMarch how do you think we managed to get a health service and public services, votes and rights in the first place?

@AuthorJaneMarch lol, well let's start with me not being English and work on the notion of condescension from there shall we? When our major parties broadly agree that neo-liberal capitalism is our only system of organising ourselves then all we have is our trade unions and ability to withdraw from work. Sure strikes aren't always effective but they often are, and given there is no other option then all I am asking here is that people support striking workers. Too much?

@mikew12 I'd add some form of universal basic income at a high enough level to be able to get rid of a billion or so bullshit jobs so that many, many less journeys need to be made in the first place

This cartoon illustrates the real problem with our #NHS #mentalhealth services, the physical ones too. We expect our health service to be the "support of last resort" for the devastating effects that modern society has on all of us. We can't save the NHS and make it all it can be without fundamental changes in our sick and broken society. It can start by paying nurses and other workers what we're worth.#EnoughisEnough #TimeForChange #NHSStrike

@Mgellis Kissinger was a shitty human being. I don't think we need to police people's reaction to his death other than to critique those who would defend and even praise him.

@Radical_EgoCom @Rob200 and the benefits of new technology, automation, AI and all would go to reducing the burden of work for all, not increasing the profits for a tiny few

@Radical_EgoCom it's possible to not support Harris' politics while supporting her being far more likely to defeat Rapey McFascist
