       Now, I can’t guarantee it, but surely this is a (very fine) piece of ironic satire, not reality? I can understand why some of you might think it’s real, and it’s certainly performed in response to a sad reality… but surely it isn’t actually, in fact, truly, really, verily … real?

       @spytfyre Wonderfully put! Well, if you have a moment I certainly would like to know more - how these servers work etc. I don’t even know how to sign in from another device (iPad for instance) as I seem to have signed in originally on an iPhone without somehow paying attention to how I did it! Do I sign in with my email address or as stephen@mastodonapp.uk for instance? Forgive my complete bafflement!

       @musicnweather @philipjohn @Andy_European So agree. But please listen to the actual podcast, not extracted bits from journalists who only want to drop lemon juice on the cut. It was supposedly on the BBC. Out of the blue I was asked what I felt about JKR. I said how sad it made me. But I hope I made it clear that I can’t countenance transphobia and hate. Some of her supporter - awful. But so are those who send her death threats. Has to be a better way?

       Late Night Catastrophizing. I can’t be the only one. As you try to drop off to sleep, every one of tomorrow’s tasks, chores and errands looms like an unconquerable giant. From cleaning up in the kitchen (a 2 hr job at least) to the backlog of emails and the sense you must make of the bathroom. Yet, next morning everything is done in 6½ minutes. What was all that angst about, eh? Tch. Anyway, forgive the overshare.

       @rossdouglas Spot on. #JohnMastodon and I have been friends for some time now. He’s modest, selfless, humane, smart and funny. You might think this doesn’t fit him for social media leadership, yet somehow he manages fabulously well.

       Involving myself in the sweat and infarction inducing horror of British Airways’ horrifically terrible mobile app has made we wonder why there is no equivalent of the #razzies for apps? My suggestion would be for an annual #Crappies Awards ceremony. Worst design. Worst UX. Greediest In-App Purchase Demands. Most Endless Ad-Loop (I’m looking at you, CandyCrush) Most Pointless Function. I’m sure between us, Mastopeeps, we can think of 10 or 15 categories.

       Loved that man. Having grown up watching him interview greats, my first appearance was impossibly thrilling for me. The genius of Parky was that unlike most people (and most of his guests, me included) he was always 100% himself. On camera and off. “Authentic” is the word I suppose. For one of the shows I was on with Robin Williams, a genius of unimaginable comic speed and brilliance. Now they’re both gone, damn it #parky
