@jalefkowit Currently renovating a house, this is a brilliant idea to me for replacing or complementing the newspaper tradition. It also gives me the chance to explain things. It wouldn't leave the next people who open that wall wondering why the fuck I chose to do things the way I did them. That way they knew that I'm a cheap amateur with no experience instead of just assuming it like I do about the last person who fiddled with this house.

@mjg59 Unfortunately, the web UI as well as the most popular mobile apps have a buttin specifically for writing a reply without displaying the answers first. Until about 10 years ago, no platform had such a button. For some reason most platforms that started out since then have such a button. But most non-commercial platforms havent changed their UI to include such a button.Imagine a web forum where the forum view that lists the recently updated threads had a link per thread that opens a text box to append a reply to the replies that you haven't read. It makes not much sense to me. But UI designers seem to disagree.

@Wolven In my experience it is important though that you don't include anything that could be construed as criticism of any of their work though, at least as a layperson. Otherwise you might not get anything from them ever again.

@mjg59 In what way does Time Machine include encryption? The best solutions that I know use rsync or do the same things rsync does. I wonder why rsync isn't an option.

@foone You can just remove/disconnect/destroy those switches. Often the firmware will assume the head must have gotten there after a while and continue.I can say from experience that even the first Ultimaker had that fallback behaviour and that it sounds horrible.
