@MelissaBearTrix Google Mail was, for a while, the mutt's nuts of email. Sadly I don't think it has been for a long time.

@MelissaBearTrix Heh. Some Aussie comedy show did a parody sketch of that decades ago where the "walk" signal changed to "stop pushing the button". 😁

@Beltliner403 @staringatclouds @MelissaBearTrix I kinda love how widespread the phrase "love-inna-canoe coffee" is nowadays. I first encountered it in a Discworld novel (thank you, Terry Pratchett.)

I'm within cooee of 10,000 steps again today. I did not expect that, but does explain why I'm tired.

@MelissaBearTrix Despite lots of people saying there is no evidence, when my sister worked in retail, she would say that full moon usually made the days crazier.

@MelissaBearTrix Hmm. I'm a synth nerd, though I first learnt on an electronic organ and later an accordion. Don't know how that genders me... But then one of the most famous synth person (Wendy Carlos) is trans...

@PetraPanda @MelissaBearTrix I had a couple of goes at it, myself. Used to bring my own electronic music things to music class, for instance, and purchased my first synth (a sampler) after I'd been working for less than a year. But stuff was expensive and/or hard to get. And things were in huge flux for those years, too, and I let myself stagnate after I stopped playing live (church band for decades). It was only a few years ago I got into it all again, and now have a range modern hardware.I still wish I had taken the music elective in high school, though.

@PetraPanda @MelissaBearTrix Oh yeah... It's crazy what you can make them do. But modern Moogs are hella expensive (you're buying the brand plate,..). Still, I have an ARP2600 clone on my wishlist at the moment... *I follow a couple of synth YouTubers who do modular. And in the Discord of one of them. And I have a deep love for Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene. * lemme know if you'd like to know what I have at the moment... :)

@PetraPanda @MelissaBearTrix Oi... I'm not quite old enough to have Oxygene on vinyl, but I am old enough to have been born already when it did!

@PetraPanda @MelissaBearTrix I may not dance as much as I wished I did, but I am very aware of what music does for me! Although it's an ever changing list, I do have a range that serve me as dopamine and serotonin regulation. Would like to get into making mix sets. Need more copious free time to do so... Something I don't currently have.

Beginning to understand why some concessions in society start becoming available at age 55. I'm not that far away from that and life has been gradually getting more difficult in the last few years.

@foone It's made for people who already know exactly what they're looking for.I've noticed there's a real tendency to "log everything" in modern software. So I get *my* log entries inter-mingled with the framework logging. Most unpleasant. I remember when software didn't do that.

@foone Sounds vaguely like the SNES video chip. That would've been very cool in a DOS PC.
