@pavot @PINE64 goods bought in the UK are usually quoted with vat included.There is nothing on the pine website to indicate that vat is not included, so I assumed it would be.My previous pine purchase for not have any additional taxes added (this may have been dumb luck).I realise pine themselves can do little about this.BUT THEY CAN indicate that this is a possibility when placing the order.I'd still have placed it anyway, but I wouldn't be bitching about the additional 70 surprise.

@pavot @PINE64 I should pay UK vat.But the product should be sold free of usa tax if it's shipped abroad, hence why I'm asking how much USA domestic customers pay.

@DeveloperMemes I'm with Japan on this one...Oh, btw - remember NTP format too... Doesn't count leap seconds, keeps a separate count of total leap seconds since epoch 0 (iirc), but requires that count to be banned into the source or a config file rather than querying a server to find out out.Oh, and has at least three conflicting and commonly used approaches to handling leap seconds that *will* break any client connected to such a server.And there's no way to find that out...

@lizzy it has it's uses. It's great for a quick first order guess, but it's so utterly surrounded by problems that i agree. As implemented, it ought to be banned. They are lying to people about his well it works, and people are so utterly uncritical in their thinking. A recipe for exactly the kind of disaster 'they' want.

@GrapheneOS I've recently become aware of this war between graphene and e/ OS.It's not a good look for either side.What i haven't seen is much in the way of solid evidence.I can say that neither OS has a website worth shit.It took ages to work out if e/ supports my phone, and i still haven't figured out if graphene even works outside a small clique of google handsets. Pull it together both of you. Get along.Thank fuck Mobian is on the rise is all i can say.
