@paulczege that's really weird to read, because it reads as if PbtA were designed as a reaction against old D&D-ish games. When in fact, it was Vincent saying "hey, maybe our indie games can learn something by going back to D&Dish games we've kinda left behind and working with some of the patterns that are functional there." At least that's how i remember it. I guess that's how it looks to young folks: Vincent and company managed to finally move beyond trad gaming.

@paulczege I can see that, yeah. (I remember that in Ron's "pool best practices" document, he suggested that MOVs be about how existing content plays out, not about introducing new content, which isn't how most pool hacks play it...)So you think the criticisms kinda miss the point?
