I want to play with "PCI Passthrough" / "GPU Passthrough" whatever. I plan to buy Ryzen 7 5700G or something similar with integrated graphics card.I wonder, can You use integrated graphics for baremetal OS, and for vm PCI passthrough, GPU (rx 580 8gb)?Whenever i read about PCI passthrough everyone say "You need 2x GPU". I'm thinking about running OS on integrated card, and use GPU for vm.#virtualization #hardware

@BrodieOnLinux "And i have no plans to switch btw." - This is also me, when i fall in love with gentoo. Compiling since Jan 2021 (kernel 5.10.4) to this day. 3,5 year of using. This is impressive, that person managed switch to LFS in short time. I started with Mint in the past, then i tried a lot of distros along the way (i simply used Linux for many years before even trying meta-distribution).I don't use gentoo because it's "cool" or to impress someone. At certain stage, i wanted more control. I didn't liked pulseaudio, i didn't liked all the unnecessary stuff pulled to my PC ... Then i found Mental outlaw video about installing gentoo, i decided to give a shot. During installation, i fall in love with portage, and portage was what i looked for.

@BrodieOnLinux I never "demanded" anything from project. I'm always free to try change something if i want (code is open, right?)You have leader with plan, or don't. If You are solo, You can do anything. But it's better to learn how to say "no", because it's impossible to please entire world. Yes, we should have strong opinions, own rules and personalities because this keeps us on our track.

@10leej gw2 have client. When i stopped playing they added game to a steam. It's cool game if You have a pack of friends. Solo? PVP, maybe some WvW roaming ... I still love the game but i burn out and stopped before they released End of Dragons. I loved playing thief, but i recommend stick to something easier ... Core Tyria is easy, but if You jump to Heart of thorns arena then ... for beginner this can be surprising bucked of cold water :D Have a nice time!

@BrodieOnLinux Some comments are shocking, but i don't judge.Makes me wonder how many of these users will eventually learn something and if possible contribute. People are not immortal, and people are needed. Makes me wonder about my time management and maybe i should start with something useful for community. When i see certain attitudes, i worry - a lot.No matter of that, everyone are free to use devices as they wish. But whenever i think about a topic, i simply worry about crisis. Have a nice day all!

@BrodieOnLinux For me it's simple. If they cross the line, i will simply learn how to live without youtube. Like i learned to live without facebook and other platforms that people consume. I will switch to blogs, here on mastodon there's a lot of interesting people ... and they are great, and have value too. Actually i have great success with deleting accounts i no longer use, or don't want. IDK what excel spreadsheet says in #google but i'm not part of good result.

@BrodieOnLinux I think i will back. I still remember how to play Raider. I do not "pick builds" i play on my own. I stopped playing when ruthless mode was new. I wanted to play ruthless every league but this game can be boring after few runs.
