@ringo@jforseth210The IRC reference is a good one. I see the problem that started with IRC and email is that there is a barrier to entry for hosting. Most people don't have the ability to setup even the easiest server for those services.RocketChat can be setup and working rather easily. Discord and slack, even more so. I think that we fracture because a lot of people want things that they can't grasp. Corporations step in & lower the barrier for a fee. Then they try to lock out alternatives.

I got to strike one project of my list!I made this nightstand out of a broken barstool (repaired for someone else, this was the "trash"), wood on the side of the road for free, and a copper tube.I'm blessed to have had the insight to see this and make it.

@gamesbymanuelLook at all of the nonsense with old movies and music, it's nearly impossible to find some of the classics now. Even if you bought it on physical media, they just stop producing the players.Heck, Hitchcock is dead (and nearly all of the actors), but we have to still pay someone just to watch one of the movies. Where does that money even go?Lastly, don't forget all of the time paid by watching ads.

@GettingCookedI need a little help.How in the world do you reliably light charcoal? I have tried many ways, but each one fails. Is there such a thing as crap charcoal, do you light it a special way?I can build a camp fire in minutes, but I can't get charcoal to play without lighter fluid.

@TinyHouse4LifeI MUST share some news with you.We have a new puppy!Unfortunately, my white GSD (Malibu) passed a month ago. Through morning and then looking for a new pup (it was too quiet in the house), God blessed us with Lexi! She's 8 months old and Artie accepted her just fine. She was even FREE & came with a create and a few other supplies.
