I was folding some towels and putting them away before I went out, and Formiga must have snuck into the cupboard at some point...which means she was stuck there for about four hours before I let her out just now?! "Porto Maravilha" is Rio de Janeiro's ten-year-old reurbanization plan that barely went anywhere, so it's great that the MTST social movement is finally taking things into their own hands. I have mixed feelings about all the stuff calling out masked ICE agents specifically for masking. A lot of it sounds like "we'd be totally fine with them doing exactly what they're doing now if they just displayed proper identification", which...no. Otoh, people are being targeted by random psychos impersonating ICE agents, and that needs to be stopped as well...
