@murph First thing I thought of. It was weird seeing him take this thing out of his pocket.

"The web was a neighborhood more efficiently lonely than the one it replaced. Its solitude was bigger and faster. When relentless intelligence finally completed its program, when the terminal drop box brought the last barefoot, abused child online and everyone could at last say anything instantly to everyone else in existence, it seemed to me we’d still have nothing to say to each other and many more ways not to say it."-- Galatea 2.2 (Richard Powers)

@leo "I only need to follow people NOT on my Instance. I'll see everyone else automatically on the Local feed."But isn't that like trying to drink from the ocean... wait, from a mountain stream. No way to see everything in the Local timeline.

@TealCartoons I love your work. Hope you don't mind a question...Do you work from a photo (for people who exist/existed)?And fictional characters? How do you begin!?

@TealCartoons @DrLindseyFitzharris Do you look for certain... characteristics ? in a reference photo? Some must be more useful than others. One more question? On average, how long does it take to create a piece?

@TealCartoons @DrLindseyFitzharris "Most drawings take about an hour and thirty years."An hour seems really fast but every caricaturist I've watched work drew quickly. Makes me wonder if that's the nature of this particular form (?). Do you get the desired result by working quickly?Have you ever done what are usually called "political cartoons?"

I always read profiles and am a little surprised at how many people identify themselves as “polymaths.”I believe this gives me permission to add “Sharp as a mouse turd” to my profile.

@misty We’ll put. I decided on a limit of 100 follows. I groom the list based on a very subjective criteria but what I see slowly but surely improves.

From 2015:Rank websites according to their truthfulness“A Google research team is adapting that model to measure the trustworthiness of a page, rather than its reputation across the web. Instead of counting incoming links, the system – which is not yet live – counts the number of incorrect facts within a page. “A source that has few false facts is considered to be trustworthy,” says the team. The score they compute for each page is its Knowledge-Based Trust score.”https://www.smays.com/2015/03/rank-websites-according-to-their-truthfulness/
