@ink_slinger This is a respectable B&B, couples are expected to sleep in separate beds a la I Love Lucy.

@deadsuperhero Ha! I was looking at something the other day and they suggested FlatPak. As I am only a few months into using linux as a daily driver, I'm still a noob. Yet, something felt off about the FlatPak site. I don't know what it was. Maybe I've been hanging out with you too much! 😇 Actually, it had the sheen of a producthunt startup-- "Hey! We made a thing! We're great! Money please! Are we rich now? Well yes, our servers do run on the blood of babies, what's the big deal?"

I made peanut butter shakes for myself and my partner. We drank them so quick I didn't get a change for a picture.

@Ricardus I just grabbed one from searching DuckDuckGo. 2 cups Vanilla ice cream, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup peanut butter, basically. I also added a tablespoon of stevia.

@WelshPixie @carbontwelve This sounds like me too. I haven't tried it for this reason. I do want to be more organized, but I think I've learned a lot about myself recently. My problem is prioritizing. Everything *feels* like it has to be done now.

@Ricardus Does said infant have ear protection on? Not to shame them, but I thought it was very important through the toddler years as their hearing system is still in development. When I did commercials for a NASCAR track, I wasn't allowed to use any footage of children without ear protection. Obviously NASCAR is a bit different than chamber music. :blobpats:

@feld I'm with @spacerog on this. There are many stories of MacBooks with trackpad problems that have nothing to do with software or the trackpad and everything to do with the (bad) expanding battery underneath. The OS was not notifying people, if I recall. Now let's switch to a world where you do rely on the OS to know the battery needs replacing. Is it telling us there is a problem because there is or because Apple would like some more $?

SaaSf$ - Software as a Subscription for money.New cars have a "maintenance" menu. This tells you if the car needs servicing. Before this cars had the computers and the infamous "engine" light. With the light you went in right away. Otherwise, you did normal scheduled maintenance as usual, oil change every 6k miles for example. Now, we are trusting, not the car to tell us about maintenance, but the developers. Hmm.

@feld @spacerog Fair enough. I'm sorry if it seemed argumentative. I'm just all about right to repair and Apple is clearly is against that.

Filling out applications for minimum wage jobs adventure continues. I'm applying for a night stocking position. I need at least 3 references to even apply. WHA? Are you leaving alone with your stock? Maybe you should interview me first?

@ThreddyTheTrex Your response from @deadsuperhero is pending. Give us a moment. We're just looking at a few ideas before we have a runoff vote on what toot to respond with. Then you for tooting DeadSuperHero.

@ThreddyTheTrex See? Previous toot was what happens when we, the committee, try to respond spontaneously. Obviously quality is much improved when we take longer to come up with material. 😂 I jest. I love you @deadsuperhero

As the #Mastodon universe grows I see the "feeders" showing up more. That's what I call the people who simply use a communication tool to created a feed to read. Often these folks are all about re-toots. So, I open the profile and see the last 40 toots have been re-toots. To each their own. However, I'm here to have conversations and make connections. People, all people, are wonderful. Enjoy your feed, but if you want to talk, even better.

@Gargron I wish developers didn't feel like things need new features every time. This capitalistic idea to onboard more users with features eventually bloats every closed source project to the point that people leave it the software becomes unusable. Keep it simple stupid, KISS is my philosophy.
