@heurism My policy is no work stuff on home machine and no home stuff on work machine. Goes for phones too. They want me running some phone app they can pay for the device it runs on it. I don’t need some company having control or any authority over my personal devices.

@dropcase @carl @anders Even if it is what you’re looking for, given Google track record of cancelling things, it’s a risky proposition to depend on it having staying power. Not saying you shouldn’t check it out. Just go in eyes open to the possible future.

@targetdrone @burdickjp @pluralistic Inspired by Welch, went through a version of Six Sigma at Sun Microsystems that was called Sun Sigma internally. Software project I was on was forced to run as a Sigma project. Wasted so much time trying to figure out to develop a software feature following that process. Then Oracle bought Sun and cancelled the project (Rock Processor and Supernova Platform). So, yeah, Sun got Jacked.

@futurebird meanwhile NC GOP is working to ban masks in their state. Trump will not work to increase mask rates. He’ll work with GOP to enact national bans.

@futurebird So I guess we just use a noun in it’s place when we refer to asshat? If asshat doesn’t want pronouns, asshat can have nouns instead.

@futurebird one of ours likes doing this in the middle of the night in the bathroom. Makes us crazy some nights. Neighbors 3 houses down car hear her if windows are open. Grrrrrrrr

@futurebird I could see unisex bathrooms being a part of the concern, but I think the bigger part is that if tampons go into a “boys” restroom it supports trans, non-binary kids which they are very against. I see this as a wedge issue in their hate against gender identity.
