A crime with no victim is not a crime. If a guy someone sells weed to someone else of age there is no crime as that is a voluntary exchange of goods for money. Robery, rape, killing, fraud, etc are crimes because someone was harmed.

With all the people leaving #reddit for #lemmy and #kbin and all the people who left #twitter for #mastodon it really feels like we are going back to the way the internet used to be with more modern connections. Lemmy and kbin are like all your favorite old forums without having to have 15 different accounts. The big imperial central points of our modern internet experience appear to be weakening in favor of more open standards.

@marcan in the US you buy #Monero which gives you three advantages.1. Instant transfer money anywhere on earth for about 1 US penny2. Privacy of transactions like would be achieved with cash3. @fdroidorg i have the 1.19 and i like the new repo ui. The only issue i have is that after you add a repo it brings up what appears to be the search screen with that repo selected. I wish it didnt do that

Maybe i am missing something stupid obvious, but does anyone know how to visit an #ipv6 address in firefox? As an example if i used http://123.123.123.123 and that ip had a web server on it i would get the web page, but if i do http://[2601:123:1234:4a2b:71d8:3a27:135e:5120] it does a web search.

The governmyth says #inflation is decreasing and that may be true. However, averages dont lie and looking at the average price of #gold, #silver, and #Monero from the beginning of 2023 until now all three show an average increase of 10% to 12%. Now, since gold and silver are hard assets and monero is as good as, what does that tell you? It tells me that i have to spend 10% more than i did at the beginning of the year. Which is why i hold very little money in dollars.

Does anyone know how to find the default gateway #ipv6 address in android? I can ssh into my computer and run "ip -6 neigh" to get it, but its not under the wifi settings under "Gateway" and the only fe80 address is the device IP.

Also, apparently #firefox does not support going to fe80 addresses. If i try to load my router with fe80::1:2:3:4 it fails, but if i use its whole address like 2601:7:6:5:1:2:3:4 it loads fine
