@LordWoolamaloo I really like this; thanks for drawing my attention to it. Is that the church next door to the bookshop? I'll have to try and find the window. While I'm posting: An aside in answer to our where to find cake in Bruntsfield dilemma yesterday: we bought supermarket cake along with the food we had to buy and the plan is to visit a cafe soon. The result should be two cakes, which seems like a win..

@LordWoolamaloo At one point I wanted to make a phone app. If you were in an area with tenements it would play snippets of stories about the people that lived there through time. The idea was you could listen with headphones and feel history and how it was different as you walked through different areas. I fell at easily finding the history, never mind historic voice recordings. All I managed to find were the names on the bell pulls, but I wasn't sure how to turn those into something.

@thelastpsion I guess it should be possible to emulate a full Psion 3a on the new chip, or maybe as I believe it supports external ram maybe even a Psion 5! And the source is in MAME now....Must...resist...new...project....

@thelastpsion You're right...but I'm now looking at this - http://www.ioccc.org/2013/cable3/hint.html - An 8086 emulator in 4043 bytes. The 3a is pretty much an 8086 with a few ASIC9(?) registers..I think? So it can't be many more than 4043 bytes to emulate(!) So it's definitely a project that will only take a couple of hours and not actually take much longer and I don't already have enough projects and software never takes longer than you think so it would be fine...ummm...

@thelastpsion I bought some cells from 18650.uk a couple of years ago. The cells had the advertised capacity and arrived quickly. They seem to have changed their name now however, although perhaps that is just because they sell more than one size.

@LordWoolamaloo They say to look up to see the architectural features while walking in Glasgow...now I have to look down in Edinburgh to try and find where that mystery is. I now have an excuse to look at the old maps in the central library Scottish room to find the foundary too.
