@izaya @shibao Yeah the tcp should be fixed, but hardly seems like a deal breaker. There are plenty of other Matrix clients, but obviously they'll be behind Element. Are the devs responsible for keeping other clients updated with the moving spec? The fast moving spec is the reason why matrix is a breath of fresh air compared to xmpp/irc/etc, and being a competitive alternative to popular centralized messaging servers requires quick deployment and development.

@strypey I like that though, it also means people are free to explore it their own way rather then copy the current culture. It also tests the design, that the UX should be easy to understand and pick up even without how-tos and tips. I think mastodon does this pretty well currently.
