@sean hmm... i can see that easily turning into a war of opinions. From a technical pov, I think full-text search would consume significantly higher resources? That would be one of my main concerns 🤷🏻♂️

@fluffy I attempted to interact with users whose instances seem to have mastodon.social muted or something similar?While I understand the circumstances for those blocks, I don’t want to be discriminated against because of a few rotten apples, so to speak.I figured switching to another instance might help alleviate this issue.

I did a life hack. (Is that what it’s called? Anyway...)You know the plastic packaging All The Things™️ come in? I cut away the extra bits and turn them into covers to keep the items clean when not in use.I get free custom-fitted covers and it keeps plastic out of landfills! 😁👍
