Most project managers are technical illerates, they can do great jobs anyways and learn precious and transferable knowledge in the process. i'm pretty sure many non-techies are aware of this. @wjmaggos@liberal.city I'm a heavy VLC user for radio stations, but since i started using navidrome.org i listen to radio stations through the apps for that. I'm not an app developer, but in my smol opionion, I think what applies here applies to pretty much everything FOSS: education supersedes user "friendliness". To some extend i'd prefer a world where people are proactively shaping their narrative, over a world where all they have on their mind is framed by some upstream authority in xyz topic.I don't know, either way, i find it limmiting to assume that the tools we have, or those that are given, are the ultimate form of social media.

@wjmaggos@liberal.city now imagine all of that, but you need only one account to interact with each of those sites, an account that is entirely decoupled from a server admin or a domain name registrar, that you can generate yourself on your terms with a handheld or computer. That's nostr for you.

Relays are exactly like fediverse servers, relay admins can moderate all they want, they can grant or deny access. They can even charge you for access, natively. But unlike fediverse, they can't invalidate a person's entire digital identity and social graph.
