The SDF instance has been rebuilding database last two days. Seeing more toots. Haven’t seen all the followers I had back yet, so I assume it’s still a process in the works. Still missing a lot of followers and followees. As I go through, and see someone I thought I was following I’ll re-follow. Or maybe they’ll reappear. The way it goes 🤷🏻♂️and thanks to admins for making Mastodon better in the end! 👍

@stux I remember my first Windows upgrade from 3.1 to Windows 95. I believe the same year or shortly after I went from a 28.8 to 56k modem and thought I was in internet heaven. At work we had T1 speeds as I recall at the time though but took many more years to get broadband at home.

@lamp Came close to blocking for sending me a private message. As on the bird site except for those I’m in DM groups in, known a long time, etc I don’t have time nor looking for relationships, etc. Then I realized I didn’t specify on my profile “no private messages”. So I fixed it. I used to block at least 2 a day, usually for other reasons entirely on the bird but still 0 here and on Post.

@lowqualityfacts The first bullet point- turning off and back on again, was one of the first things FDR did as I recall to bring us out of the Depression. Closed the banks for a few days. Still took quite a few more things like CCC, and years up to WWII to get us back on track. I guess they would call him the first Woke POTUS 🤔
