@drmambobob I use an wood-awl to push a little hole in the plaster, then the smallest bit I have to drill a hole, followed the the drill size I want to use.. else i never get it right!

At Beorgs at Uyea (on the north coast of Northvamine) there is a neolithic (5000 years ago I think?) stone tool quarry and workshop at a site of feldspar outcrops. The workshop was created by digging down next to an outcrop, building a dry stone wall opposite, and roofing it with rocks that still lie in place. When discovered in the 1940s, the floor was deeply littered with waste stone and tools#Shetland
