       @kfogel @luis_in_brief This does give me a good excuse to share one of my favorite German idioms:"Herr, schmeiß Hirn vom Himmel -- oder Steine: Hauptsache, du triffst!"Which is used to exclaim upon the stupidity of someone/thing, and translates as: "God throw brains from heaven -- or stones, as long as your aim is good"Edit to tag @rewboss , from whom I found this specific version of the idiom.

       Well, #AidVantage has decided to not respond to my #GDPR data subject access request. After acknowledging they received it even. So now I have to get the niedersachsen LFD involved ( @bfdi: commercial entity GDPR complaints are handled by the Laender right?). Totally obnoxious how american companies think they can ignore EU law.#StudentLoans

       @clive I've thought about this a lot regarding the relationship of #OpenSource projects with industry as there are a lot of similarities in the power relationships there. I hope that the #OpenAI debacle leads to more #Maintainers recognizing that they have sway. I fear it is just going to lead to stronger corporate pressure to control "their" pet projects.

       @cliveSomething that I have been wondering about is whether we can normalise pgp signing content that we produce for the wider internet. Coupled with good old fashioned key signing parties we could at least establish a semblance of trust networks against the rise of the dread parrots.@bhawthorne
