I'm finally done putting together the #Dannysound #Dynamics and #VUmeters #eurorack module kit. Took around 20h of work, started back in March 2023, and fought to find longer stretches of time to work on it.It was 100% a quest for physical / tactile sound-related artifacts, and I must say it delivered. Now I'm excited to put things through it to see the needles dance.

@ordosmarkzero I… make music for myself first. Also, the hoops of hardware are easier for me to jump through, than the hoops of software (that includes recurring vst costs, managing a computer, and associated stress). It's probably a very personal take as I understand it to be perfectly fine for many others. And again, I don't have a financial pressure to make music, I just make my own stuff.

@fargate @kevin From what I can guess from nixpkgs project, the firefox wrapper allows modifying the firefox package with quite a few things:- different library support for sound and video (ffmpeg, pipewire, etc.), opengl, smartcard, gtk lib modules, really a lot of different things. These are taken from your nixos configuration, so in some way, wrapped firefox is customized to *your* system.- firefox enterprise policies!- nix extension support- a custom desktop item fileThat's with the default wrapperBut that's not all! The wrapper has a few options too allowing you to change the browser name, desktop name, modify default enterprise policies, etc. Here's an example:```{environment.systemPacakges = with pkgs; [ (wrapFirefox firefox-unwrapped { desktopName = "FrozenBerry"; nixExtensions = true; }) ];}```So, firefox is wrapped with this by default. You can get rid of all of these customizations by using firefox-unwrapped.
